The construction of Shadegan Port has just been completed.
This project was decided in the first round of presidential visit to Khouzestan province. Director General of Bandar Imam Khomeini Port under whose control the Shadegan Port falls said that this port has been constructed in the vicinity of Imam Khomeini Port.
He also noted that an access road to the port as well as a warehouse with a total area of 1200 m have been constructed in the Shadegan Port project.
Mr. Idani asserted that the purpose behind the construction of Shadegan Port was job creation, reducing poverty and prevention of cargo traffic in the region.
He went on to say that construction of this port enables cargo export by small vessels to regional destinations in Persian Gulf region.
