Delaware County Council approved a $75,000 grant to be used for the Ridley Park Lake dredging project.

According to Jeff Wolfe at the DelCoTimes, the funds for the project became available with revenue made available to the County through the Marcellus Shale Impact Fee.

The Marcellus Shale Impact Fee has generated more than $198,000,000 in revenue for 2012.

The impact fee legislation requires that approximately $25.5 million of the annual revenue go to state agencies to offset the statewide impact of drilling.
