On April 10, CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. won the bid for the 100000t waterway project in Dagang zone of Tianjin Port, with a contract value of 1.693 billion yuan and a construction period of 539 days.
Located at Nangang Industrial Zone, Tianjin Binhai New Area, the project involves waterway dredging, transfer and setting of navigation marks and heightening of dykes and cofferdams, will dredge the original 5000t waterway to form a 100000t one. The proposed waterway has a designed bottom elevation of -15.0 meters, a designed navigable depth of -14.4 meters and a width of 300 meters.
The project plays a positive role in stepping up efforts to build Tianjin South Port into a pivotal port for petrochemical products in north China and propelling Tianjin to implement the strategy of “two towns and two ports”.
