According to abc57.com, the contractor who will be dredging the St. Joseph River in St. Joseph Michigan is setting up its equipment and could begin the project within the week.
Government will provide $550,000 to dredge the Saint Joseph River.
Although it was planned to start later, the dredging project could start today.
“ Commercially it’s been a challenge every year. This year the dredging they’re doing is to overcome the problems that Sandy caused last year ,” said Larry LaValley, St. Joseph Harbor Master .
