In November, Premier announced that Clipper Round the World Yacht Race would be taking advantage of new berthing at Gosport Marina.
Gosport Marina was granted permission to build 27 new 22-32 metre berths at the southern end of the marina. The construction of the new berths includes dredging around the southern entrance, piling and the installation of new finger pontoons at A and D walkways.
“ We are pleased to report that ‘C’ pontoon is now in place which marks the final stage of Clipper berthing. What’s more, as part of the reconfiguration, a new breakwater has been installed to provide greater protection for the marina from south-easterly winds. ”
“ We are also pleased to say that the new gate between ‘D’ and ‘E’ pontoon is scheduled to be installed next week, ” they stated.
