U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced a plan for various small construction projects within the boundaries of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.

The Huntington District Corps of Engineers intends to procure up to two indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contracts for various small construction projects within the boundaries of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.

Contract period will be for a base period of one year with a provision for at least two but not exceeding four option years (number of option periods yet to be determined) for a total amount not-to-exceed $15 million for each contract awarded.

The task orders will generally be $100,000.00 to $3 mln.

Typical tasks performed under this contract could include:

1. Emergency mobilization (within 24 hours) of sizeable river crews to multiple work sites (capable of running a minimum of 3 jobsites) on the Ohio River and the Kanawha River and the capacity to bond million dollar work orders;

2. Emergency mobilization (within 24 hours) of an experienced river crew with all equipment including a tow-boat capable of handling several barges;

3. River-based bank protection projects requiring handling of large derrick stone (36 quote mark minimum diameter);

4. Emergency dredging work on the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers;

5. Experience working on and around Locks and Dams;

6. Land-based stream bank protection or excavation site work;

7. Difficult bridge repair;

8. Demolition of small to large structures as part of disaster cleanup projects;

9. Construct or remodel buildings.
