On April 25, Guinea Office and Bolloré Africa Logistics Group jointly held the commencement ceremony for Guinea Conakry Port Container Terminal Expansion Project.
Minister of Public Works and Transportation (Minister of State Department), Minister of Communications, Minister of Customs and deputy director of Port Office of the Guinean government and other government executives attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Jean Michel MAHUET, manager of Bolloré Group in Guinea delivered a speech first, introducing the significance of Conakry Port established by Bolloré Group and the throughout capacity and operation of the existing terminals. When delivering a speech, Gao Hongbin, general manager of Guinea Office pointed out that since November 2012 when the contract was signed, CHEC had invested a lot of manpower and material resources; several working procedures had been carried out step by step and the project had begun to take shape.
This project will employ a lot of local management staffs and works, so it will create more jobs for Guinea. The project department will live up to the entrustment of the client and complete this project in May 2014 with the quality meeting the standards.
Kamara, deputy director of Port Office of Guinea, and Hamad, Minister of Communications, also gave a speech, respectively, expressing their thanks to the efforts by Bolloré Group and CHEC to the communications and social development of Guinea, for their great achievements in a short time through their practical action.
After the ceremony, all the guests and Guinea mainstream media staff visited the construction site.
