The channel leading into Spider Bay Marina at the Port of Little Current is being dredged to accommodate entry into the marina from the North Channel.
This maintenance dredging has a greater urgency to it this year as lower water levels in the Great Lakes have presented challenges.
The dredging is part of a plan to ensure that local marinas are ‘open for business’ for the 2013 season.
