Acadie Bathurst NDP MP Yvon Godin is not happy with the Conservative Governement over dredging operation of the Tabusintac Channel, and other channels like this one in New Brunswick.
Godin told the Commons during question period that the conservatives need to take responsibility for the delays in the dredging of the Channel, adding operations were supposed to be carried out a week before an accident on May 18th that claimed the lives of three people.
Since the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada turned dredging of the Tabusintac Channel over to the private sector, there have been delays in cleanup operations.
