Mariners are advised of the temporary closure of the Kananook Boat Ramp and of a reduced depth at the Kananook Creek entrance.
Upgrade works to the public boat ramp are expected to be completed by 1 September 2013. Dredging of the creek entrance will recommence on the 26 August 2013 (weather dependant). The boat ramp is closed for the period of the upgrade works.
Manners are advised to avoid navigation within the creek entrance and where necessary proceed with extreme caution, ensuring they check the entrance depth, local weather, tidal conditions before they leave and take appropriate navigation charts and safety equipment.
