Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) Chief Executive Officer Brian Taylor met with Jacksonville media on July 30 for the first time and provided the following statement.
“ I am thrilled to be here and anxious to get started. Several people have asked how I plan to turn JAXPORT around, but I don’t believe it needs to be turned around. There is a great foundation here that the team has built. My role is to build on that foundation and make it bigger and better, ” he said.
Taylor emphasized the importance of harbor deepening to maintain JAXPORT’s competitive edge on the international stage and the critical role the port’s developing strategic plan will play in prioritizing future projects.
