The Redland City Council received an OK from the State Government for the Toondah Harbour dredging project.
According to baysidebulletin.com, the Cleveland MP Mark Robinson, Redland mayor Karen Williams and Transport Department officials, met last week with the Straddie Flyer owners, the Groom family, to discuss this development program.
Regarding this positive decision, the council could commence the tendering process for the Toondah Harbour dredging very soon.
Baysidebulletin.com informs that this deepening project will be undertaken at the same time as dredging program between Victoria Point and Coochiemudlo Island.
“ This ensures Redland City Council can resolve both key dredging requirements through the $6 million in state funding invested in dredging in 2011 ,” concluded MP Mark Robinson .
