A $19.3 million beach restoration effort is making its way up the Delaware coastline. A $19.3 million beach restoration effort is making its way up the Delaware coastline.
After Hurricane Sandy, Congress approved money for the Army Corps of Engineers to implement the Coastal Storm Risk Reduction Projects in New Jersey and Delaware.
The project for coastal Delaware has been awarded to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company.
The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-December.
