Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee, who paid a friendly visit to Sri Lanka, inspected Colombo Container Terminal Project, Sri Lanka, and expressed his sincere concern to the field staff of CHEC participating in the project construction.

Vice President of CHEC, Tang Qiaoliang, gave a detailed report on the construction progress of the terminal and the Colombo harbor city project.

Liu Yunshan spoke highly of the achievement in construction of Colombo South Harbor and promotion of harbor city, thinking that the project was very excellent and beautiful, had become a card of Chinese enterprises “Going Global”, showed China’s speed, China’s spirit and China’s image, and enhanced China’s advantages and influence. He stressed that in the process of “Going Global”, the central enterprises should have the courage to go first, create and accumulate more good experience, and sum up and communicate the good experience and practices.

He hoped that CHEC could make persistent efforts to reach a new height, and expressed his sincere solicitude to all the overseas staff.

Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wu Jianghao, R W Ranjith Premasiri, permanent secretary of Ministry of Port and Highway of Sri Lanka, Capt. Nihal, Managing Director of Port Authority of Sri Lanka, and relevant responsible people of China Merchants and CHEC also participated in the inspection.
