The Decatur City Council voted unanimously to authorize a professional engineering services agreement with Chastain & Associates LLC for Lake Decatur dredging and rehabilitation of the Oakley Sediment Basin for a fee not to exceed $897,900.
For the last 8 years Chastain has assisted with the Basin 1 dredging project and provided significant work to help identify alternative water supplies throughout drought periods in the last two years.
Recently, basins 2, 3 & 4 were added to the dredging project, which increased work required of Chastain.
