CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. has recently won the bid for the channel preparation project of Basin 2 in Xuwei zone of Lianyungang Port (Lot XWGQ-WD-SG), with a contract value of 224 million yuan and a construction period of eight months.
Cofferdams measuring a total of 2,460 meters are proposed to be constructed, including a 1,120-meter north cofferdam and a 1,340-meter west cofferdam. The project involves soft mattress, sand quilt, filling bag, drain board and cast-in-place concrete works.
As infrastructural works, the project will provide warehousing land for imported and exported goods, improve the capacity of Xuwei New Area for warehousing logistics service and promote the development of the harbor industry of the port zone.
