DP World was today named the Best Performing Company in the UAE and awarded the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award for Most Outstanding Performance for 2013.
The country’s highest business award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, to His Excellency Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman, DP World, during a ceremony also attended by His Excellency Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, Mohammed Sharaf, Group Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, Mohammed Ali Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer, DP World, UAE Region and other dignitaries.
DP World, UAE Region was one of the 16 recipients of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award presented this year, in addition to the Outstanding Performance Award, with the award received by Mohammed Al Muallem, accompanied by Mohammed Ali Ahmed.
HE Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman, DP World , said:

This is second time the annual award instituted by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been won by DP World. In 2008, the marine terminal operator was chosen for its excellence in supply chain and logistics services.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award rewards organisations for their contribution to the UAE’s economic growth, the overall business environment and development of society.
The award caps a large collection of national and international accolades in recent years for DP World in recognition of its commitment to providing world-class services.
