On October 17, Augusto da Silva Tomás, the Minister of Transport of Angola, and a delegation of APLOP inspected the container terminal, ore terminal and dry wharf of Lobito Port Expansion Project.
Lu Yunpeng, the Deputy General Manager of Angola Regional Management Center made a detailed report on the project construction progress, port staff training progress and future port operation capacity.
The Minister spoke highly of the efficient and high-quality project organization and implementation of CHEC and indicated that Lobito Port Expansion Project set up a good image of Chinese enterprises in Angola and also presented the new appearance of reconstructed Angola in the international community after the war.
He hoped that CHEC could make persistent efforts at the last stage of the project to guarantee the smooth delivery of the project and make full preparations for the port completion and ribbon-cutting ceremony during this month.
