DP World marked the 42nd National Day of the UAE with Emirati-themed festivities and events for its customers, partners, employees and friends at its global Head Office in Jebel Ali Port & Free Zone.
Hundreds of people including high-level representatives of DP World customers, government officials, police officers, senior managers and employees, attended a flag-hoisting ceremony led by His Excellency Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, DP World, and Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region.
The dignitaries were briefed on the on-going expansion plans of DP World’s flagship Jebel Ali Port, including the construction of its mega Container Terminal 3.
H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman, DP World , said:
“ The UAE National Day is an occasion to pause and recall the achievements of this young nation. As we look at the tremendous progress our country has made in the past 42 years, we are extremely proud of our leaders whose vision guides us in the pursuit of excellence. We take this opportunity to extend our sincere greetings and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Their Highnesses, members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the emirates. ”
H.E. Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, DP World , said:
