Siesta Key Association has scheduled a meeting on the Lido Beach renourishment plan for Thursday, December 5, 2013.

This plan is being developed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The City of Sarasota requested this project to remedy a portion of Lido Beach, now listed as a critically eroded shoreline along the southern portion of Lido Beach.

The Corps proposed a plan to remove sand for this renourishment from the ebb shoal of Big Pass. Additionally, they are recommending placement of three groins along the southwestern end and southeast end of Lido Key.
