USA: Corps to Issue IFB for Newark Bay Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has announced a plan to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Newark Bay dredging contract.

The proposed maintenance dredging program will involve the removal of approximately 1,010,800 cubic yards of material from the Main, Port Newark, and Port Newark Pierhead Channels.

The estimated cost range for this project is between $10 mln and $25 mln, and the bid opening date is scheduled for 14 March 2014.
