Galveston District to Invite Contractors for Matagorda Dredging (USA)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, has presented a plan to invite bidders for the Matagorda Ship Channel dredging contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, has presented a plan to invite bidders for the Matagorda Ship Channel dredging contract.

The contractor will be required to perform maintenance dredging of the Matagorda Ship Channel to remove approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards of material from the Peninsula to Point Comfort. No levee work is required.

The total contract value is estimated to be between $1 mln and $5 mln.
