Port of Praia expansion works worth 72 million Euros, will be inaugurated in March, reports macauhub.
A consortium of three Portuguese construction companies realized the second phase of the work to expand and modernize the port of Praia.
Dredging of the manoeuvre basin and installation of a navigational support system, as well as the construction of a container park, were a part of the Port of Praia expansion project.
This project, funded by a 200 million-euro line of credit provided by Portugal, is taking place within the framework of several port expansion projects, such as: Palmeira (Sal), Porto Novo (Santo Antão), Sal-Rei (Boavista), Porto dos Cavaleiros (Fogo) and Mindelo (São Vicente)Port expansion.
