Following a request from the independent panel, the Minister for the Environment Greg Hunt agreed to extend the time frame to conduct the review of the bund wall at the Port of Gladstone.
The independent panel’s co-chairs, Anthea Tinney and Dr Andrew Johnson, have advised that the volume of material to be reviewed and the range of background work required is such that another month is required to finalise the task.
The panel are considering public submissions and have visited the site where they received briefings from the Gladstone Ports Corporation and other local stakeholders.
