The Government of the State of Osun last week commenced the dredging of rivers and waterways in all parts of the state to avert flood disaster as rainy season approaches.
This dredging program is part of the state government’s efforts to protect the residents against flooding.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment & Sanitation, Hon. Bola Ilori, said that this dredging scheme is part of the commitment of the Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration toward safe and habitable environment in the state.
Ilori said that government will invest adequately in the cleanup programs to prevent flooding.
