The Tarpon Springs-based company, Florida Dredge and Dock, last week wrapped up the Sunrise Canal dredging program on schedule and budget.
The company completed dredging in six working days, said City Engineer Jim Bouquet.
This $150,000 dredging scheme, located in a residential portion of New Town off Flagler Avenue, included removal of approximately 25 truckloads of material from the canal.
Bouquet said that the contractor dredged the canal to five feet below the mean low water mark.
