The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, awarded a contract for a floating pier and associated dredging in Iraq.
The contract was awarded on April 29, to PAT GD JV LLC of Rochester Hills, Michigan, for $24.4 million.
The contract calls for the design and construction of a new floating pier with associated utilities, and the dredging of the adjacent harbor and navigational channel for use by the Iraq Navy. The period of performance is 17 months.
This work is being accomplished in support of the foreign military sales program.
