According the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, the Cohasset harbor dredging project is scheduled to take place between October 1, 2014, and January 31, 2015.
This deepening program will cost between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the solicitation will be issued on July 18, 2014. Responses are due by June 9, 2014.
Around 60,000 cubic yards of predominantly fine grain sand material will be removed from the 8-foot entrance channel and two 6-foot anchorage areas. The dredged material will be placed approximately 2 miles north to Sandy Beach, in Cohasset, Massachusetts .
