UK: Parrett and Tone Rivers Dredging Progressing on Slow Pace

Due to the slow progress of Parrett and Tone Rivers dredging in Somerset, the Environment Agency decided to increase the number of teams working on the projects. Due to the slow progress of Parrett and Tone Rivers dredging in Somerset, the Environment Agency decided to increase the number of teams working on the projects.

As Farmers Weekly reports, local farmers are not satisfied with the 10% work, of the planned 8km, done until today.

According to spokesman Paul Gainey two teams are working on the River Parrett, and the third one is working on the River Tone.

He plans to deploy six teams by July, to meet the deadline of the project in October.
