The police of Panvel tehsildar confiscated five barges that were conducting illegal mining in the creek between Kharghar and Mansarovar.

Apart from the barges, the police arrested 16 workers for taking illegal actions, The Times of India informed.

The police has taken the barges, suction pumps and other equipment which was used in the mining.
