Dredging works on Lake Mauvaisterre awarded to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock has begun.
As myjournalcourier reports, around 550,000 cubic yards of sediment will be removed from the lake.
There was a need to construct a sediment disposal basin and a discharge pipeline to connect the basin and the lake before the dredging operations could start.
Lake Mauvaisterre dredging project will add around 111 million gallons of water to the lake.
The project’s cost is approximately $3.7 million.
