NOAA’s Hydrographic Services Review Panel, which advises the NOAA administrator on products, services and science related to navigation, water levels and currents, and positioning, will hold a public meeting Sept. 16-18 in Charleston, South Carolina.
The panel will receive updates on regional activities requiring support from NOAA’s hydrographic and geospatial services.
NOAA’s Hydrographic Services Review Panel meeting topics include:
– Stakeholder support for maritime commerce, recreational boating, and coastal resilience;
– Port of Charleston preparations for the Panama Canal expansion;
– NOAA collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regional operations;
– Breakout sessions, focusing on port expansion and dredging, navigation safety on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, and geospatial modeling data and coastal resilience.
