Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company (GLDD), one of the largest providers of dredging services in the United States, is about to start dredging operations on the Indian River.
Dredging operations will be conducted within the Turning Basin of the Port of Fort Pierce and will commence in a few days time.
The operations will continue 24/7 until approximately November 1, 2014.
The Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge DODGE ISLAND will dredge in the Fort Pierce Turning Basin subsequently discharging the dredged material into the ocean dredged material disposal site via bottom dumping.
