With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 9 months, marine works involving demolition of temporary seawall and construction of sloping seawall will be carried out at Telegraph Bay, Hong Kong Island West.

The works will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including one dredger, four derrick barges, two hopper barges, some tugs and work boats, according to the Hong Kong Marine Department notice. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 30 meters around the dredger and barge will be established. Also, silt curtains, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established surrounding the works area.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
