Kiasma Srl, Italian manufacturer of HDPE pipes, floats and systems specialized in the sector of dredging, has performed another step forward in terms of innovation and efficiency.

As a result of laboratory tests as well as direct feedbacks and experience from the field, Kiasma R&D department has decided to implement their KGP floats with a second generation technology. In fact the new product design represents a significant improvement in terms of quality as well as in longevity, very much demanded by the dredging industry always looking for high quality products and affordable prices.

The KGP float is still produced by a single HDPE shell filled with polyurethane foam and they are now secured to the pipe by two HDPE welded rings that can also be easily removed and reused in the future after the pipe life ends.

Kiasma Srl is more and more expanding in the Middle East and Latin American markets thanks to the continuous requests of KGP Floating System by dredging companies in need of higher diameters piping like 750, 800, 900 and 1000.

The abrasion of HDPE with KFC system, compared to steel pipes also in presence of big diameters, is reduced by 40% and avoids the necessity of rotating the pipes after few weeks of usage with an extra cost saving of 15 to 20% in terms of productivity.
