Kananook Creek Dredging About to Start

Maintenance dredging works will be underway at the Kananook Creek entrance from Monday, November 10, until Thursday, November 20, 2014, according to Frankston City Council.

Dredging works will be carried out by a vessel-based sub-dredge with submersible electric slurry pump. Dredged material will be deposited for beach renourishment at the adjacent Frankston beach.

Some areas around the Creek entrance will have limited and/or restricted access during the maintenance dredging works.

It is anticipated that all of the affected areas will re-open on Thursday, 20 November 2014, subject to weather conditions.
