TSHD Pelican to Dredge Lakes Entrance Bar

The Lakes Entrance Bar dredging scheme is scheduled to commence during the next week, announced regionalchannels.vic.gov. The trailing suction hopper dredger Pelican will be carrying out dredging operations on the Bar and inner channels at Lakes Entrance for approximately 5 weeks commencing Thursday

The Lakes Entrance Bar dredging scheme is scheduled to commence during the next week, announced regionalchannels.vic.gov.

The trailing suction hopper dredger Pelican will be carrying out dredging operations on the Bar and inner channels at Lakes Entrance for approximately 5 weeks commencing Thursday 13th November 2014.

The dredger will be distributing spoil offshore behind the surf zone and within an area of approximately two nautical miles to the East and West of the Entrance.

Pelican will operate 24 hours a day weather permitting. Mariners are directed to navigate with extreme caution and to maintain a safe distance from the dredging vessel at all times.
