The Swansea Channel dredging program has officially started.

Roads and Maritime Services, a NSW Government agency delivering safe and efficient journeys throughout NSW, said that boaters are advised to keep clear of dredging work and exercise extreme caution in the Swansea Channel between Pelican Marina and “The Dropover” for about two months.

The dredge barge will display appropriate day shapes and lights to warn vessel operators of navigation restrictions for the duration of the work.

Vessels are required to maintain a safe distance and speed from the work and operators are reminded not to produce any wash which impacts on the work.
