The Port of Kingston’s dredging project has officially started. The project will force the closure of the public launch ramp for the last week of November and first week of December.

All in-water work is expected to be completed by December 30, announced portofkingston.org.

American Construction Company will perform this dredging program. The company anticipates to work weekdays and possibly one weekend, according to Port Manager David Malone.

Dredging will also limit boat access in and out of the marina during the day. The ferry will not be affected by the project.
