Orion Marine Group (ORN), a leading heavy civil marine contractor serving the infrastructure sector, has announced the appointment of Mark Stauffer to the Board of Directors.

As previously announced, Mr. Stauffer, currently President of Orion Marine Group, will succeed Mike Pearson as Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2015. In conjunction with his promotion to Chief Executive Officer, the Board has appointed Mr. Stauffer to the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2015.

Mr. Stauffer’s initial term will expire at the 2015 annual meeting of stockholders where the Nominating and Governance Committee will consider proposing Mr. Stauffer for re-election to continue to serve as a Class I Director until the 2017 annual meeting of stockholders.

The appointment of Mr. Stauffer expands the Orion Marine Group Board to six Directors.

Orion Marine Group Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas , provides a broad range of heavy civil marine construction and specialty services on, over and under the water in the continental United States, Alaska, Canada and the Caribbean Basin and acts as a single source turn-key solution for customers’ marine contracting needs. ORN’s heavy civil marine construction services include marine transportation facility construction, marine pipeline construction, marine environmental structures, dredging of waterways, channels and ports, environmental dredging, and specialty services.
