Maintenance dredging works will be undertaken at the Kananook Creek entrance from 8 December 2014 to 22 December, 2014, according to Frankston City Council.

Dredging works will be carried out by a vessel-based sub-dredge with submersible electric slurry pump. Dredged material will be deposited for beach renourishment at the adjacent Frankston beach.

On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked and lit as per IALA standards. The sub-dredge will be stored when idle in a docking cage pontoon, moored within the Creek.

Some areas around the Creek entrance will have limited and/or restricted access during the project.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the works.
