Anthony D Bates Partnership (ADBP) LLP is currently in the process of assisting with the production of the revised British Standard for Dredging and Land Reclamation.
The British Standards are the standards produced by the BSI Group and establish a standard of quality for a range of goods and services. These standards are used internationally.
Anthony D Bates Partnership (ADBP) LLP produced the original British Standard for Dredging and Land Reclamation (BS6349-5) in 1991 under BSI committee supervision.
This standard covers all aspects of dredging activities including:
• Site Investigations;
• Considerations effecting Dredging Works;
• Characteristics and Selection of Dredging Plant;
• Land Reclamation and Beach Nourishment;
• Rock Dredging;
• Environmental Considerations;
• Measurement Methods.
Although the information contained within the document is still generally relevant and applicable as it has been almost 24 years since its publication a revision has been commissioned.
The revision will ensure all guidance and data contained is currently pertinent and accurate and new technologies and established best practices will be included.
