KROHNE, a worldwide technological leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost-effective measuring instruments for the process industries, has introduced the new TIDALFLUX 2300 F.

This is an electromagnetic flowmeter which features an integrated, non-contact capacitive level measurement for flow measurement in partially filled pipes.

The TIDALFLUX 2300 F is the latest in the line of TIDALFLUX flowmeters from KROHNE. It is designed to provide reliable flow measurement for flow streams that fill between 10% and 100% of the pipe diameter. The accuracy in partially filled pipes is <1% of full scale, while the accuracy in full pipes is <1% of the flow rate. The TIDALFLUX 2300 F is wet-calibrated at factory in a direct comparison of volumes, so does not require on-site calibration.

The in-line flowmeter is a closed measurement solution for a safe and clean working environment, replacing open channel measurements and allowing it to work in toxic environments. With traditional flowmeters, H2S creates an additional problem in partially filled electromagnetic flowmeters as it causes their electrodes to have a very short life span when uncovered and exposed to the strongly corrosive H2S.

On the TIDALFLUX 2300 F, the electrodes are mounted at a height of 10% from the pipe bottom, ensuring that they are always wetted to avoid corrosion. The capacitive level sensors are integrated in the liner and have no contact with the medium, and are therefore unaffected by H2S and any residues or particles floating on the water surface or in the water.

In addition to municipal or industrial wastewater transport, the TIDALFLUX 2300 F can also be used for measurement of effluent brine from dredging, mining or sea/well water injection applications.

It also features a high chemical resistance and minimizes the need for regular cleaning, as its smooth surface prevents buildup of fat and other deposits.

TIDALFLUX 2300 F is available with IFC 300 F (PF) remote converter in field housing, featuring extended application and device diagnostic functions. For subsoil installation or applications in areas that can be partially flooded, TIDALFLUX 2300 F can be ordered in an IP68 protection rating version with special coating.
