Williams Group Bags $9.2 Million Levee Deal

Williams Group LLC, from Boligee, Alabama, has won a $9.2 million firm-fixed-price contract for raising six miles of hurricane protection levee, seven miles of flood side wave berm and two levee crossing ramps. Williams Group LLC, from Boligee, Alabama, has won a $9.2 million firm-fixed-price contract for raising six miles of hurricane protection levee, seven miles of flood side wave berm and two levee crossing ramps.

Work will be performed from New Orleans to Venice, Louisiana, NOV-07a, Reach B1, West Bank Back Levee, Empire to Fort Jackson, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana with an estimated completion date of February 21, 2016.

Bids were solicited via the Internet with eight received.

The Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, is the contracting activity.
