Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan announced today that the government had undertaken a project to procure 20 dredgers to ensure navigation in rivers across the country.

“ The government already procured 11 dredgers and conducted sand query in 1,000 kms waterways to ensure smooth navigation for water transports during its last tenure, ” said Khan.

According to the National News Agency of Bangladesh, the minister said the government would also procure three conventional dredgers, four amphibian dredgers, survey vessel, tug boat and crane boat this year.
