Work is currently underway on a major dredging program to deepen Largs Yacht Haven and accommodate deeper drafted vessels.

The contract is being carried out by Land and Water Services Ltd and is expected to last until the beginning of March .

This is the first time since the Largs harbor was built in 1984 that any dredging work is taking place and is a one off contract.
