The Port of Gdansk once again played host to the delegation of the Dutch architects of KuiperCompagnons B.V., accompanied by representatives of the office of revitalization at the City Hall in Gdansk.

Discussions at the meeting with the PGA SA President of the Board, Dorota Raben, focused on the Development Strategy of Gdansk Waterfront and Port Areas, which is the result of a year-long cooperation between the City of Gdansk and the Dutch partner under the program “Partnership for Water”, with the participation of the Port of Gdansk Authority SA.

The Dutch specialists in water security and spatial planning presented flooding prevention measures that have been well-tested in the Netherlands, and discussed methods of synchronizing the economic and environmental growth of the city with the flooding prevention measures and security.

During the meeting, Mark Niesten – Regional Director of KuiperCompagnons B.V. – presented the results obtained so far in developing the Strategy, in which port areas have been given special attention.
