Williams Group Wins West Bank Back Levee Deal

The Plaquemines Parish Government has awarded West Bank Back Levee contract to Williams Group, of Boligee, Alabama. “The West Bank back levee from Empire to Fort Jackson is a key part of the extensive levee construction going on in Plaquemines Parish,” said Plaquemines Parish President Amos Cormier,

The Plaquemines Parish Government has awarded West Bank Back Levee contract to Williams Group, of Boligee, Alabama.

“ The West Bank back levee from Empire to Fort Jackson is a key part of the extensive levee construction going on in Plaquemines Parish ,” said Plaquemines Parish President Amos Cormier, Jr. “ This levee is an integral part of the New Orleans to Venice (NOV), Hurricane Risk Reduction System. ”

Construction works on the $9.2 million contract are expected to begin within the next 30 to 45 days.

The project is expected to be completed by March of 2016.
