Water and Sanitation Authority Rawalpindi (WASA) has completed 50 percent of the Nullah Lai dredging program.

The Managing Director of WASA, Raja Shaukat Mahmood, together with Deputy Managing Director of WASA, Amir Rasheed, yesterday visited several areas including Dhoke Naju and Phagwari Bridge and inspected ongoing cleanup work.

According to the project manager, Muhammad Afzal, the excavated material from Nullah Lai is being transported on daily basis outside Rawalpindi City.

A significant amount of material will be removed in the following days to make sure the smooth flood water flow particularly during heavy rains in monsoon season.
