The split hopper dredger ‘Magni R’ is currently working on the Poole Harbor Middle Ship Channel project.
Over the next week, the dredger will be conducting channel dredging and beach replenishment works in the Poole Bay area.
Material dredged from the Poole Harbor Middle Ship Channel and will be placed near the beach at Sandbanks as part of Poole Borough Councils/Environment Agencies coastal protection scheme.
The dredger Magni Rhave has one-man operated bridge, and is equipped with the latest automation and control methods. The dredging depth is 28/38 m.
With a draught fully loaded of 3,8 m only, the ‘Magni R’ is ideal for beach nourishment, and has a capacity of pumping approximate 2,5 km ashore.
